NOTE ! This software is distributed under the shareware concept,
meaning: You may make as many copies of this software
and it's documentation as you want to give to your
friends for there evaluation but if you decide to use it
for personal or business, you are expected to pay a
registeration fee of $20.00 to the author. An invoice has
been included with this disk and can be found in a file
named INVOICE.DOC. You may print this invoice to your
printer from the DOS prompt by typeing:
COPY INVOICE.DOC PRN <enter>.
What is fastsystem PLUS ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This software is designed to give you total and almost instant
controll of your AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files. fastsystem
allows you to create/edit/save up to nine different AUTOEXEC.BAT
or CONFIG.SYS files and at any time install either one of them
and reboot your system. fastsystem contains a complete text
editor that has options that most wordprocessors have. It allows
complete block copy and past from within a file or from one file
to another. All the standard editing keys are valid. This editor
allows up to 255 characters per line and files with up to 200
lines. Also fastsystem PLUS includes a complete batch file editor
that allows creating/editing/saving/copying batch files from any
drive and or directory on your system.
fastsystem PLUS is designed to be used on a system
that has a hard drive designated as drive C:. If
you do not have a drive C:, do not attempt to run
fastsystem.
What you need to run fastsystem PLUS:
PC/XT/AT or compatible.
256kb memory.
At least one floppy and one hard drive.
DOS 2.1 or higher.

fastsystem PLUS STARTUP and operation.
======================================:>
You may run fastsystem from any drive or directory as long as
your system uses the root directory of drive C to store your
AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files.
To start fastsystem just move to the drive that you are using and
type: SYSTEM NOTE ! If you are using this software on a
monochrome system you may want to start fastsystem up in no-color
mode by starting it up with this command: SYSTEM B&W
After the initial startup fastsystem will display the shareware
screen, just press any key at this screen to move on into the
program.
The first menu screen will give you four options.
(ESC)............... This option will return you to DOS.
(C)reate New File... Use this option to create new files. You are
allowed to create up to nine files. These
files will be listed on this menu from 1 to
9. Notice that you are allowed up to 61
characters to describe each file. When you
choose this option you will be given a place
to enter your description after which you will
be taken to the options menu.
(B)atchDOS.......... This option will take you to the batchDOS
module. From this module you may execute DOS
commands or create/edit/save/load batch
files. This module is better explained later
in this manual.
(1 through 9)....... These options may or may not exist, depending
on wheather or not any files have been
created. If a file exist just press the number
associated with this file to access it. From
here you will be taken to the options menu.

NOTE ! Severial sample files have been included with this shareware
version. These files may be used as is or edited to your liking. If
you choose you may also completly remove these files and start with
a clean slate. Any files removed should be removed through option
(4) of the options menu and not deleted from the DOS prompt.
The OPTIONS Menu.
================:>
This menu will present you with severial options that will be
active only on the file that you have chosen.
(ESC)............... This option will return you to the main menu.
(1)...... This option will take you to the text editor that will
allow you to edit or change the chosen file listed at
the top of the screen. This editor is a full featured
text editor that includes block copy and paste options.
This editor is explained fully later in this manual.
(2)...... This option will install the file that you have chosen
to the root directory of drive C as the AUTOEXEC.BAT
file. You will be asked to verify all actions.
(3)...... This option will install the file that you have chosen
to the toot directory of drive C as the CONFIG.SYS
file. You will be asked to verify all actions.
(4)...... This option will allow you to completly remove the file
listed at the top of screen. You will be prompted to
verify this action.
BatchDOS Module Options.
===========================:>
F1 = Run.... This option will execute or run the commands that
have been entered at the editor window. Multiple
commands may be executed at the same time.
F2 = Load... Use this option to load an existing batch file into
the editor. When choosing this option a list of batch
files found on the current drive/directory will be
listed to screen. You may choose one of these files
by moving the highlight bar to the file you want and
then press the enter key. At this point if you press
the ESC key you will be returned to the editor
without loading
